In the grip of our housing crisis, every empty home represents a wasted opportunity for shelter.

If 300,000 long-term empty homes were brought back to life it would mean a huge increase in housing stock. There would be more affordable housing for families who need it most. It would mean fewer children living in temporary accommodation, fewer families living in fear that they may be moved at a moment’s notice. Fewer people forced to make the streets their home.

This is why we believe it’s time for Action on Empty Homes. We are the only organisation in the country dedicated to creating real change, fighting to stop the waste of empty homes, to give families the security they deserve.
